  • WinAmp viz's in FP (i.e. in WMP)

Does anyone know of a WMP viz plugin that let's you load and use WinAmp viz plugins? I want to use plugins like AVS and MilkDrop with FrodoPlayer. I'm not a big fan of existing WMP plugins (like Goom, G-Force, etc...)

The best I've found for WMP is Battery. Put it on randomization.
    It's awesome.

      Yeah, battery is pretty cool.

BTW, Frodo, are you running the visualizations in windowed or windowless mode? If it's windowed, I think I can write a wrapper for WinAmp plugins so they can run in FrodoPlayer as a WMP plugin.

Gloom is the best WMP visual. Very, very cool.

I think you mean "Goom", but yes, it's also a nice plug-in. It's also cross platform which is why it is the default visualization in my Linux CarPC frontend (headunit).

I finally got something working: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...507#post238507

It's still a little rough on the edges, but I am able to use WinAmp's MilkDrop and AVS plugins as FrodoPlayer visualizations!

                    NoPistonPC,

This is absolutely not a "put down" on your awesome work, but I have been using TwistedPixel with WMP/FrodoPlayer for about 2 months now, using MilkDrop visualisations.

                    Just another approach

Confused, I've seen TwistedPixel before, but I didn't realize that it had a tool for converting MilkDrop presets. Cool stuff. I wish I had seen this before I got started on all this. I really only wanted to use MilkDrop anyway out of all my WinAmp viz's.

Oh well, I might as well finish up what I started in case people want to use other visualizations besides MilkDrop.
