  • Weird problem ?

Hey everyone.... I've noticed a strange problem with FrodoPlayer. If push exit >
shutdown from the main menu.... it will "shut down" the computer but leave me with a "It is now safe to turn off your computer" screen and won't actually turn the laptop OFF. Now if I just exit the player and use Start > Turn off computer > Shutdown then it works okay and the laptop turns off. What could cause this ?! It would be nice for me to shut down the laptop from FrodoPlayer...

I don't think it's frodoplayer causing it. Try telling frodoplayer to "Force" Options in the settings.

I think cause 3 could be the problem.

"An OEM device driver or service is installed on your computer that is preventing the computer from correctly shutting down."

one of the drivers in use by Frodoplayer that is not in use when it's not running could be the problem.

Could be.... but I have a laptop and I'm using the built in AC97 controller. It's an Analog Devices chipset from Andrea Electronics. It works well for what I need.

Up till today I couldnt even go in StandBy mode beacause of the touchscreen driver. So I went to the egalax page and got the newer 4.0 version drivers... and now that works okay.

I'm gonna try to do what you guys suggested....

Hmmm just tried it.... Even with WMP running it will shut down correctly. From Frodo however... it wont. I should mention the laptop has a special power control applet that replaces windows' own in control panel. I dont know if that would have anything to do with it....
