  • Voice string mod for artist-title announcement

Here's a tiny issue but it's been bugging me: I have FP setup to list tracks by artist-title and so FP puts a hyphen between them on the song listing. When the track changes, the voice announcement sees the hyphen and prounces the words around it without any hesitation. Is there a way to train the voice engine to pause longer when it sees a "hyphen with spaces around it" or is there a way to have FP put a different character in place of the hyphen to cause a longer pause in the voice?

I've noticed the same thing. I also second that this is an extraordinarily small nit-pick.

I LOVE the announcment but the hyphen makes it sound like the artist-and-title-are-the-same-word. If this can be changed in the speech engine, FP wouldn't require any modifications.

I haven't revisited voice stuff in a long time. When I get a chance I will
      see what I can do.

Frodo, also check out why single letters are pronounced as though they were roman numerals (does no one else notice this?). When I switch to XM mode the voice says "ten m" and when I go to a dvd it says "d five d". Or is this something that can be configured in the speech apps?
