  • XM or SIRIUS??

In the XM app can SIRIUS be applied instead? Haven't tried it yet since I'm waiting for my tuner to come in?

Also how are you using XM in the carpc? XM direct ? Thanks guys.

EDIT: Has anyone designed an alpine skin for frodoplayer? I know there was one for mediacar but I didn't know if it could be ported over.

I too would rather use Sirrius, are there any plans to embed support or will it just be an external app?

Go with XM. Currently Sirius is having trouble making their payroll (dunno why with 500 mil in the back in cash...) But Opie and Anthony are on XM and it's cheaper.

being a ex-sirius subscriber I love my XM way more than I ever liked Sirius. XM programming is much more interesting, at least to me. But of course it's kind of like Dish or Directv, to each his own.

Guys, if anyone is able to develop some .net software and such, I can provide some information on the protocol the Sirius receivers use to communicate. You can completely control the radio, query it for all the song names artists etc, as well as control the power. My problem is I am not very good at coding. Let me know, I would love to have Sirius integrated as well...

i have xm and love it, the biggest difference is hardware.
In my opinion xm's hardware is way better than sirius' because of their partnership with delphi.
the other difference is features. Sirius has all of their shows come at the standard rate at like 11.99 i think or something like that. but xm has most shows at the base price then you can add on opei and anth and internet xm for additional costs whereas sirius already has these costs and features included.
But like i said, for me, i love my xm unit.

Yeah but with the amount of subscribers they have that $500 might be only worth $200 in actual service if they go under. I am considering adding sirius to my lineup as well mostly for the NFL. but much like tivo ill never do lifetime with tivo more for the fact you cant move the subscription to new hardware.
