  • Frodo won't lauch - Log frmDB Error

The other day when I got into my car and my PC started up, when Frodo attemted to start I got the I get the Error: MultiMedia Player for In-Car Use has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I didn't change anything, I hadn't had any problems shutting down or starting up, I just got in the car and this started.
I took a look at the log file and this is what it says:
    "08/20/2005 - 2:00 PM - 52 - Bad file name or number - frmDB-Form_Load - 0 - FrodoPlayer"
Dows anyone know what could have went wrong or how to fix it?

Thanks a lot for the help!!!

THis is a database error..... it happened to me when I forgot to turn on the ext HD in my testing machine.

Go to setting 1 and rebuild you database, and see what happen then.

    Thanatos.

For sure you are missing a file or for some reason or one of the .dll haven't register right (I might be wrong).

Also try to manually change to the default skin in the .ini file (that if you are using a custom skin).

I have the Medialib file in the folder and don't have a custom skin. It is a completly fresh install from the download on frodo's site.
Is there a way to manually register all the dll's?

think that I was wrong from the begining. I just check my other PC and the log is no the same.

To manually reg the .DLLs you go to run type cmd then when in the command prompt type C:\Program Files\FrodoPlayer then you just type regsvr32 and the name of the .dll.

Sorry if I make you waste you time with wrong inst.

                Thanatos.

Well I think I have tried everything short of reinstalling windows (which I REALLY don't want to do). Any other suggestions.....?

Well, you're missing a file, unfortunately I don't know which one.
Go to the FP root directory, and a command prompt and type this.

                        dir *.* /S /B >filelist.txt

                        And post filelist.txt here
