  • Can I get some screenshots of skins you're using?

Or links to screenshot threads? I searched for 30 minutes, even went to the forum on the official website. Couldn't find much but the same ICE screenshots over and over.

here's one that is in progress: http://forums.openice.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=409

and this is nghost's default: http://forums.openice.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=280

i'm sure if you look in the forums abit (especially release announcements) you'll find more screenshots of screens... mostly vistique as it's the most advanced so far...

After doing some more research, I'm confused. I see the links you provided and some of the links on the forum I'm about to link to but I only give them a 5/10 visually. Now on this page: http://wiki.openice.org/index.php/Main_Page, I see at the top some real nice screenshots.....which skin is that? I want to use that.

That would be the revolution skin eubey designed a while back.

        http://forums.openice.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=409

Revolution was going to become the default skin at some point. However, I don't have the time to give it the love it needs.

There has been an effort to complete it, but since then the maintainer got caught up with other things. It was somewhat usable last time I checked. If you want to use it, it'll require a little love to finish it. The lastest version is in the svn repository if you want to give it a try/some love.

If you know a little XML and are willing to learn how nGhost skinning works, feel free to hack at it.

Wow, nice. Looks like a lot of the images are broken, is there anywhere else I can see them?

there may be some zips containing them posted on that thread. Otherwise, they are located in the nghost source repo. On windows you can check it out with tortoise svn.

Just tried to download this on my Ubuntu machine but it won't work in 64 bit. I'll have to fire up the old Pentium 3 and install Linux Ice.

Sweet! I just installed this on an old Pentium 3 I've got sitting here, works pretty good. I haven't run any of the setup stuff yet but it looks promising. I don't think I'll have it installed in time for the big car show in June but I'm pretty sure this will be my permanent choice pretty soon.
