  • nGhost3 SDK - in development

We are currently working on the SDK for the nGhost3 framework. If you are interested in contributing to the the revolution that will be nGhost3, chime in and we'll get you started!

The goals of the SDK is:

    * Create a set of tools for rapid development of plugins.

    Which will be accomplished by:

    * Creating a standard harness for multi-process plugin loading.
    * Creating a standard basic clutter GUI toolkit for theme based development
    * Documenting the tools with examples and class/method definitions.

The harness will allow plugins to be developed using native Qt or nGhost3-Clutter.

The plugin interfaces are LGPL'd so the possibility of closed plugins are possible.

The target for NG3 is Cars, MIDs and other smart devices (iPhone-like devices). This means that your plugin may be able to reach a wide audience.

For those interested, toolkit usage examples can be found here

Questions, comments, suggestions are always welcome.

Development is progressing well. Here's a first draft on screen keyboard using the ng3-clutter toolkit: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvAyKoRyeh4[/media]

      Hey Tripzero,

I was wondering if I could get some information on how to retrieve the sdk for the nghost3.

      Thanks,

You can get the source for the framework here:

        Code:
        svn co https://nghost.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/nghost/ng3
It should be noted though that we have stopped development on ng3 in favor of the MeeGo Touch Framework which is a much better solution than what we were hoping to achieve with nghost3.

        cheers,
