  • IONIdea using nGhost

IONIdea is an embedded telecommunications company that has taken interest in the nGhost project. They've developed a pretty cool skin which you can download from their website. They also have submitted code to the project! Check them out here:

Very nice. Has a WMP look to it.

Out of curiosity, what code has IONIdea contributed?

They've posted a patch to add file based media browsing to nghost so you can use nghost without nscan (and when your music isn't properly tagged).

There are a lot of docs already written on http://wiki.openice.org.

But here's one on nGhost installation specifically:

          http://wiki.openice.org/index.php?ti...talling_nGhost

Also, the easiest way to run nGhost is to download and install LinuxICE.

what is the error you get when trying to load/install LinuxICE?

Yes, you can install nghost on top of ubuntu 10.04. Follow the directions here: http://wiki.openice.org/index.php?ti...inary_package:

It assumes you have some knowledge of how to add repositories and use the command line.

                      Works for me ^^

Don't install from sf.net. Install either from the binary package (link above) or from src from the subversion repository (found on sf.net/projects/nghost)

Tried out this theme, looks nice, works well, and agree with matt11601 on the WMP styling. Not too sure how i feel about that.

i like the look of this skin. it is not working very well for me though. i cannot scroll through the apps or use the back button on the apps page. also my music library isn't showing up, would that be because of the skin?

I like the looks of this one also. I loaded it up and tested it out for a bit. I had a problem adding buttons to the skin. I was able to do it in the vistique skin, but not the black sea one. Also, I don think it had a button for an on screen button. Other than that I liked it and would probably run it if I could get those 2 things working
