  • Milkdrop exit problem

I am having problems exiting Milkdrop back to ME. When I press escape I get a black desktop and most of the Windows XP toolbar at the bottom. All I have to do is click anywhere on the screen with the mouse and I am back in ME, but I have to do that first. Has anyone else run into this? I have tried a few other plugins and have had no problems with exiting back to ME with any others.

    Thanks

I think this is a known issue that has not been fixed w/ Milkdrop and ME. Try searching for it.

I did try a search and did not find anything about a black screen on exit. I found a bunch of people that got a black screen on startup that seemed to just be a problem with configuration of the plugin, but nothing about exit.

As a side note to the problem, I tried this plugin on another machine with ME and it exited fine, so I am guessing it is a video card issue. I have got the latest drivers and DirectX installed, but it is an on-board video card so I know it is not the best thing in the world, but the plugin does run great at 640X480.

As I stated in my second post I found a bunch of messages like the one you posted last night (and infact read that post). Users are getting a black screen when the user 'starts' Milkdrop. I do not have that problem. I can run Milkdrop fine, but when I 'exit' Milkdrop it does not go directly back to ME. I get a black screen with part of the Windows toolbar and I have to click to get back to ME.
