If you rename your files with [artist]-[title].wma they should be picked up correctly.

I need to write a tag reader for Windows Media, but it's not something that's high on the priorities list (and my dislike for all things M$ doesn't help either).

Interesting, you dislike all things MS, but develop in VB!

Anyway, if you want to read all the attribute tags in a wma file just look at the metadataedit sample for the windows media format sdk.

VB has been around for a while. My dislike for all things M$ has only developed in the past three or four years. Not everything they've done is bad, just everything they've done since the start of their 'world domination' campaign in '99.
