  • List not in order

I just manually freshed the Database of about 4,700 songs, each album in it's own folder. When i scroll through what songs to listen to, I scroll by folder.

Well, the folders are not in alphabetical order so I do not know where one thing is from the next.

Why are the folders not in order?

I have had a very similar problem with ME and I think it has to do with the created and modified attributes of the files and folders. ME doesn't just parse the songs and folders in alphabetically order for some reason, which to me would make more sense. I never got a straight answer as to why I have multiple sections in my database that go from A-Z then A-Z again and again.

lol, i have noticed one thing though.

I have 2 A-Zs ok, the first A-Z looks like this for example-

      APPLE
      BEAR
      CARROT
      DONUT
      EASTER

Then the second one would look like this-
      Apple
      Bear
      Carrot
      Donut
      Easter

As you can see, the first is all capitals but the second, just the first letter is.

I'm hopin it isn't suggestin to me to ReNaMe all the folders according to capitalization.

        bump..

Why aren't the songs that are pulled with the database generator not in alphabetical order? Is this a DOS attributes thing where it pulls it by creation date first then sort it to alphabetical order? I hate that anytime I add new songs to the database they end up at the bottom of my list.

See if this helps. Sorry it wasn't already in the FAQ - it's been asked enough here.
