  • ME In Wide Screen Mode

Is any one here using the ME interface on a Wide Screen - ie the Digital WW vdus ?

I am trying to get the skin right for it but the logo in the middle seems to be stretched even though I select the wide screen mode.

I have tried using diffrent screen drivers which did work and don't now....

Can any one help - has any one had these problems - is there a certain size that the skin needs to be and can one explaine what the Wide Screen mode in ME does ?

If I have to design the skin in wide screen then I will but I want to know what imapct that may have - ie can any one else have it ?

The wide screen mode only formats the size of a movie not the other screens.

too bad i don't have a wide screen screen or I'd build a widescreen skin. Ahh.. chances are its the skin and not ME since all skins are pretty much for 640x480 and 800x600

The guy doing my interface is going to have a go - its just that the logo is round in the middle and it looks like a squashed beach ball.

The res I belive to aim for is 800x480 - We shall see.

          Thanks Any Way

If you post your background image, I'd be happy to help you make it appear properly at your resolution.

Ya you will have to do something like how windows handles the logo.sys....

try this... take all the icons and images in your current skin and resize them to whatever percentage your screen is wider than it is tall. Then save them all and open M.E. Theoretically it should all look right. or at least close to right.

                          Hi,
Im looking at a similar sort of problem although im only running my system on a home PC. (I havent got the funds for my carPC)
Take a screenshot of the screen and resize it to 800x480 or whatever.
Work on your image and make everything circular.
Then go into Paint (or something infinitely more posh)
and squeeze it back to 640 by 480.
Everything will look squashed on a normal monitor but if you see it on widescreen it comes out correct.
Hope im not teaching anyone to suck eggs here or offending them but it worked for me.
I hope it can help somebody,
                          Gavin
