  • Media Engine - Dynamic Playlists

I've just started using Media Engine after having been using my own (keyboard controlled) software for some time (now have touchscreen).

Seems really good, but one question about 2.0 which would make it totally usable for me - are there any plans to allow dynamic playlist creation within Media Engine 2?

For example, in current media engine you browse through your directories, select an mp3 and it selects that directory as the current playlist. What I'd like (as my software did) is the option to select a directory (and its subdirectories) and have that either be the new playlist, or added to the existing playlist.

For example, I have my Media directory in a tree by genre, then album, then the albums. So in my software I can choose the directory "Trance" and it will add all albums under here, or I can select "Fatboy Slim" and then "Chemical Brothers" and it will append these (if I want) to the existing playlist.

This I find a really useful feature, cue up a few albums before you set off then just listen.

If it's not in the feature list, will it be possible for a future release?

    Cheers
