the only way new hardware can/will be added into ME is if one of three things happen

          1) a developer buys that hardware and adds support
          2) someone donates hardware, which can be returned to get support added
          3) code something and send the source into the team

Given the "rule of 3 above" - has anyone made progress on support for the XMPCR?

yes that would help.. we could code something.. it would be easier if we had the hardware.. but we could code something and blindly send a beta app for people to test

I thought about doing that too, but having something to test on just seems better, saving $$$ now

The hardware costs $69, I would be happy to buy it, and ship it anywhere if someone would guarantee that support would be added to ME in a reasonable time frame.

The app that comes with it is good, but doesn't scale well down to 640X480 and the font size of the lists is not large enough. Have been planning to make it and external app....

It would be great (since it has a mute function for the XM) if it would mute the XM then announce the GPS directions or voice prompts, then unmute....
