  • has anyone got girder 3.2 to work with ME 2.0?

I've got girder to mapping the keypresses and it works fine but when i load ME 2.0.20 it does nothing? If playing an MP3 it will stutter due to Girder receiveing a command but nothing happens in ME.

    EPIA Eden 1000
    Windows XP pro
Girder 3.2 and igor SFH-56 pluing and device.

Has anyone else got this to work

doesn't work with me too .. help

I tried to send keyboard events with girder but nothing ??
Anyone can explain me how this application reads the keyboard so that the girder can't fake it ?
And is there a plugin api or something like that fo ME? I like ME , but the girder is the most cheap remote control (with Igor plugin)...
    please help

got it to work now. If anyone wants the girder file to load that I had to manaully make then please private message me.

This file is the insturctions so girder can map the keyboard letters to a controller of your choice.

You guys, tell me why exactly you are using MediaEngine with girder? M.E is supposed to be, and will eventually be a total solution. I am not saying anything bad about girder, since I really have not used it that much. But I am interested in learning what you do with it. Maybe I can (in the future) incorporate some of the more common "girder things" into m.e

              Let me know.

Well, currently I use the built in CIMR remote commands in ME. BUT, I think I am going to switch to girder. The reason is this; ME2.0 is quite unstable on resuming from standby, so I have figured out that if I quit to desktop, and then enter standby, the computer almost always comes back on ok. I would like a button on my remote to re-start ME, and also a button on my remote to close ME, and enter standby mode.

edit: I also want to be able to control my XM software with my remote

XM is going to be a part of m.e. So don't worry about that. We will be supporting the XMPCR radio. I think thats the only one there is for computers right? But don't go telling everyone

Also, what kinds of problems are you experiencing? If there is some sort of "back from standby api" or some sort of system event that we could use to re-init the remote (since there is a code that turns it on for serial port), that would be handy.

i used girder (as it has a build your own ir sensor) cause I can't afford IRman its 5x the price. Also grider will work with my kenwood steering wheels.
