  • Search POI???

Is there a way to be able to search the POI with this software? for example say I'm looking for a particular restaurant, can I simply go somewhere to type in the restaurant name so it searches it in the POints of Interest?
    thanks.

p.s. on a side note, has anyone also experienced this? I can only access my Points of interest when I take away the bar uptop that gives you the ETA , when that bar is present I can't access my POI

To search the whole POI, set the POI radius to "Entire Map" and type the first few letters of the name.

as for the bug, What version of the frontend are you using?

Hello Ninja Monkey, Well first off... Great software, thanks for making it available. And second, thanks for getting back to me. In reference to your question I am using version 1.1.2 have you heard about this bug before in version 1.1.2? (about not being able to access the POI unless the ETA strip uptop is not present) Anyways I tried your suggestion about making the search area the whole map. I see the key board, and I try to type, but It only bounces around the categories (e.g. I press the "A" button it goes to airport, I press "g" it goes to golfd course, etc. etc.) , SO then I try to click in items within a category, say restuarants, I see the keyboard, and I try to type. but nothing happens, I don't see a cursor and i don't see what I am spelling, and the menu doesn't skip to say if I press the "f" to an item that starts with f. any ideas? I noticed however that I went back to the settings and the 50 miles radius was set again, I change it to whole map, but I don't see an "enter" button, I simply select whole map and then press the x to close that window. I go back to the settings and 50 miles is still selected, could this be afecting my poi search? Basically what I want to know is say I am driving, and I wanna know if there is a certain store near me, say I want to know where the closest "home Depot" is, can i just go into POI and type "home depot"??? I appreciate your help and all the effort you have put into this.
      thanks,
      Carlos

p.s. I also noticed when I press the help button nothing happens, is this intended to be so? or should a window pop up?
p.p.s sorry about the long post.

Never Mind, I installed beeta 1.1.3 and the POI show up regardles of the ETA bar being present uptop or not. However I found that the cursor that shows the charactrers where you type only shows up sometimes (in POI).. and not all the time, a bug maybe?
          thanks
