  • Getting TomTom POI imported to D3

    Hi,

I have searched forums but can't find anything on this subject (perhaps just my search criteria!)

But, is it possible to add to the POI with NM's D3. I have found sites offering such data -

    http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/tomtompoi.php

but can't see an obvious way to add them. The files are OV2 and i suppose for tomtom software.

It would just be interesting to add all the McDonalds etc. so you could bring them up as required.

    Many thanks,

    Matt

Yep, it's possible to import OV2 files...but not to the POI list, only to the favorites. But it's essentially the same thing (you can show them as an icon on the map etc.)

You must to start the Destinator3 Console, choose a map, and after push the POI button.

Just to bring up an old thread for future searches....

POIhandler now had DAT files that you just add to the favourites folder. I wish you could add to the POIs so that they are listed in order of how close you are to them...
