  • MM SDK Accessing functions

    Hi,

I am looking for methods to do the following through monkey talk, can you please tell me how to accomplish this?

    - Bring up "ADD SPEED CAMERA" dialog
    - Bring up "MENU" dialog
    - Bring up "VIEWS" dialog

This will allow for a plain interface to be developed in my RR skin.... If this is at all possible NM, please tell me, it would add greatly to the flexibility of MM because it will allow full external control (so we can remove all buttons from MM skin)

    - Bring up "ADD SPEED CAMERA" dialog

    MonkeyTalk.Custom("Hotkey_CMD|FE_ADD_SPEED_CAMERA" )

    - Bring up "MENU" dialog

    MonkeyTalk.Custom("Hotkey_CMD|FE_MENU_OPEN")

    - Bring up "VIEWS" dialog

    MonkeyTalk.Custom("Hotkey_CMD|FE_VIEW_MENU_OPEN")

      Thank for your reply NM!

I'm having a bit of a problem however...

Are you by any chance familiar with the RR implementation of the MM interface?

Currently the following codes ARE WORKING in my skin:

      "MM;HOME"
      and
      "MM;Destinate_Address"

I have tried the following to interface to the other functions you replied above, with no success:
      "MM;Hotkey_CMD|FE_MENU_OPEN"
      and
      "MM:FE_MENU_OPEN"

Do you have any idea of a way of interfacing to these functions?

I realize that MM is nothing to do with RR, but I'm trying to integrate fully in my skin,

All the best & Thanks for your efforts!

I've posted in the RR forum,I'm going to try again... anyways, "MM;ViewMode" brings up the View Menu....

I'm going to see if RR is doing any command translation in itself, but I dont think so...

Are "ViewMode", "Destinate_Address" and "HOME" commands of the SDK or of RR? If they are of the SDK then what would be the equivalent of the commands above, in this type of call?

I searched the RR code and found no mention of ViewMode or the other commands....

I think I found the problem... RR seems to be using D3Request which would limit the commands avilable to only the Destinator ones, not the Frontend ones..... Is there a way around this other than changing RR code?

They are commands of the SDK, but they're winsock commands (or commands you'd call using the 'Custom' method of MonkeyTalk, so im not sure if guino is using the DLL or not)

Either way, "MM;Hotkey_CMD|FE_MENU_OPEN" should work by the sounds of it...as long as you're running the latest MM hotfix
