  • Moving the menu to the top

    Okay MM skinners, how do I move the menu bar currently on the bottom to the top where the info bar is? Do I have to create a completely new skin or I can modify existing skin to do that?
    Why you may ask? I am running embeded with Road Runner and RR skin already has button and stuff on the bottom of the screen. I don't want to have 2 bars on the bottom when the top has none.

    Why not rip out the MM menu bar completely and create a new RR menu layout?

    Much like I've done for my skin:

    Here there's no MM bar and I use RR to send menu commands to MM.

    Check out the RR skin Editor http://mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthre...ht=skin+editor to create your own skin. It's not difficult but it takes time!

        I try some MM command in RR but they don't work.
        The only one that work but baddly is the Zoom function. It doesn't zoom like the + and - on the actual MM skin.
        "MM;Menu" doesn't work and so the Hotkey_CMD stuff.

          Make sure you have plugins on and port 9913 listening in the settings file.

              Check this thread

              It uses RR for the buttons & MM for the Map stuff. There are many RR skins that do similar stuff, check the RR Skins board if you want to see others.

                    First I would suggest you keep a backup copy of settings.ini and Destinator.inf files that you'll change.

                    Hide GPS signal bar: open "C:\DestinatorApps\Map Monkey\settings.ini" and in the [Global] section edit this line so it has this value:
                    HeightOffset=35

                    To get rid of the Vertical Zoom Bar go to this file:
                    "C:\DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Vis ual\All\Destinator.inf"
                    And find the lines that start with the following and change the values so it is the same as below:
                    ::P,SLIDER,1,1,1,1,1,1
                    ::P,BAR_SLIDER,1,1,1,1,1,1
                    ::P,ZOOM_IN,1,1,1,1,1,1
                    ::P,ZOOM_OUT,1,1,1,1,1,1

                    I leave a 1 pixel scrollbar just for fun, but it is not very visable

                        Strange, should work. You need to quit MM and start it again fo rthe new config to take affect.
