All my songs are listed exactly in MediaCar as they are in Windows.

Maybe provide some more information so we can try to help.

What are the file names as they're showing on your C:? What are the ID3 tags set as? What are they displaying in MediaCar? Try with the "Use ID3 Tags" both enabled and disabled in setup, and post back the results.

Maybe no one has clicked to the fact that MediaCar won't load the song the way its displayed in Windows. Unless Coyote adds an option to order the list by a particular ID3tag item, then its never going to happen.

All my files are named as follows:

                          Artist\Album\Artist - Album - Track Number - Title.xxx

(where xxx is mp3, wma, ogg etc)

As far as I was aware, MediaCar reads them in in from the directories in alphabetical order and then, if it's enabled, reads the ID3 tags. Therefore, on mine, it displays in exactly the same order as it does in Windows Explorer when I look.

The list is sorted by File name, also if you use ID3tag because to sort it by the tag would force to read each file of the list to extract ID3tag before generating the list and this would take a very long time if you have a lot of files in the same folder.

Actually I read the tags step by step and only for the visible items of the list and that save a lot of loading time.

You can maybe use an auto-rename tool and renamed your files in function of their tags and thus you will have it in the same order.
