  • Progress is a good thing

We are pleased to be able to update with good news. The conversion to .Net 4 has been accomplished. We have also moved some items out of the main OpenMobile framework, switched to VLC as the media backend. And overall speed of OM has improved quite noticeably!

There are a few items to complete, a few bugs to left to track down. I am hopeful that we are not too much further away.

We're hoping to release a "teaser" version in the near future for people to get a taste. No date yet. But I am hopeful it will be real soon.

The "old" OpenMobile had a plugin for embedding other apps. Didn't work well for many things. While we have it on our todo list, that plugin is not currently available.

There is some navigation abilities in, and will be available with the new version. To become a navigation plugin like most would be used to will take a bit of work. If any volunteers come forward that want to take on the task of improving it, kindly contact us.
