  • RR and Windows Fundamentals

Has anyone tried to run RR on WinFLP (Windows for Legacy PCs, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows...for_Legacy_PCs) ?

That's a version of XP that's made for running on low spec PCs. Strangely it's only mentioned once on this forum.

I have not used it but from the specs it doesn't appear to be better than slimmed down version of XP that people normally use.

looks like you'd be better off using Nlite or another similar utility to trim the fat in XP SP2.

I have used TinyXP a few times in the past...
*small install (200-400mb, if I rember right)
*completely installs in like 8 mins
*after installed, like 5-10 running backroung process

        Just Search..

Try a search for BulletXP. This is an Nlited version of XP that includes the wireless drivers, and is the most stable I have used of the stripped down xp genre.

This has the lastsession.ini file included, so you can change the settings if needed and re-nlite. I used this method to replace the US locale/keyboard with the UK versions, and it works a treat.
