  • Wouldn't it be cool if...

And maybe it is, but I am a newbie and still learning...

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a plug in for RR that allowed the screen to dim to a preset gamma level after a predetermined amount of time.. I know there is a gamma function built into RR but it would be really cool if it could dim even further after say 5 or 10 seconds of inactivity similar to the iPhone or a Mac laptop... I would really like it to be dim at night then get even darker while it lay unused. I have searched all the forums and haven't found anything covering this particular subject so please forgive me if it has been addressed. It seems as though it would be pretty simple to implicate...

    Thanks in advance!

Gammacontrol supports 3 dim levels, you could use the first two for normal dim levels and the 3rd one for "Idle" -- this will probably require some work though.

      Thanks for the input!

The GammaControl 0.7.0.0 that comes with RR is great and can support multipule gamma settings, the only thing it lacks is an activity monitor which act as thought the Ctrl+Alt+N key was pressed (as an example) to activate another Gamma profile, surely it can't be that hard to code either on its own or into RR

I'm going to look into a macro program or something else that can accomplish this being as I lack the ability to program on my own...

It would be cool if there was a way to turn off the back light on your monitor after in activity similar to a cell phone.
I know off topic and wrong forum, just thought I would through that out...
