  • RR unmutes line in and mic on volume change

OK so I just picked up the XM PCR and installed it in my carpc today. I'm using analog and am getting some serious humming (which I already knew prior to purchasing - going to mod it soon).

I'm using the Audio Advantage Roadie usb sound card. I have the Mic input muted as well as the line input (where the xm is). I then startup RR and use the volume up/down on the skin (DigFX) and it will completely unmute the mic and line in lines. Once I press the down volume the muted lines unmute and then have to bring the volume back up to get the right volume output. Why is this? Why does RoadRunner unmute the muted lines in windows mixer? Why is the volume control in RR not that good? How do I get it to be in sync with windows mixer? Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, if someone has answered this my apologies, then I will just need to be pointed in the right direction.

See when I click XM and then now click into Video and then make it louder pressing the volume up on the skin I start hearing all the hissing from the XM line. Why doesn't RR just mute the XM line in when I click on something other then XM (ie. video/music/dvd)?

Figured it out. Needed to map volume to only master volume, not all lines. Thanks to all the good people who have come before me that have posted before on volume control in RR.
