  • will one of my RR bretheren help me out with configuring a visualization?

I'm having fits about this cause i know its something simple but i just cant get it. I wish to get winamp to display ONE visualization- then spectrum analyser. I have that loaded and it plays like it should but then 10 seconds later it changes to another random visual. How to i make it so that spectrum analyzer stays put!

You will probably spend AT LEAST 2x what you initially budget for your CarPC Project!

Sonic, run winamp by itself then options -- preference...
      ...visualization.... start... then configure

once u see winamp avs editor, go to settings, presets/hotkeys... there, uncheck, "Randomly switch presets..." close... that's it... which visualization are you using?

Just a note: You can also make a few colors of the spectrum analyzer by editing the color settings in the configuration and saving them. Then you can MANUALLY change them in Road Runner with the "NEXTAVS" and "PREVAVS" commands to cycle through different colors. I used the label exec code to place those buttons over the album art in my skin. Its a nice touch to be able to change the color to the users preference.

Yea, in the helper files folder. I made a spectrum analyzer in all the common colors, Red, Green, Blue, Orange, white ect.

Just pop em in a sub-folder of the AVS/Plugins folder. Then in the same configuration mentioned above, you can tell it to just use visu's from just that sub folder. If you leave it on the root folder, you better feel like pressing the screen a couple hundred times to go through them all

I still use 2.95 because it has a smaller footprint
