  • Weird RR playlist problem.

When I resume from hibernation, sometimes the playlist in winamp does not work.

What happens is that in RoadRunner it only shows 1 song in the playlist. I try to play that song..and nothing happens.
If I try to load a new playlist or song..nothing happens.

If I close roadrunner, then reopen it, everything works fine. In addition when I restart roadrunner, the previous song or playlist I tried to load while things were not working will actually load up.

    Weird no?

there's a setting in the RRConfig for reload playlist after hibernation. Enable it.

              That option was already checked.

I have tried about every possible combination of settings in the Hibernation section of the rr.ini

I have also tried different skins...all the same problem.

              What gives?

The code you posted is for the audio browser..is that where you're having problems?

I C&P into a skin; hibernated and came back and the directory list was still there. Then again, that is not a playlist.

Well I said I have the same problem with other skins..so I am guessing the skin is not the issue.

                  Weird.

What version of winamp are you using and what does your .ini file for roadrunner look like?

Ok, I found out my problem is in fact that winamp does not stay running when I resume from hibernation.

Any way to reload winamp on resume?

                    nvm fixed it.

It was a plugin in winamp that was called jump2file. It doesn't let winamp load after resume from hibernation. I guess this is only a problem for the older version of winamp. Of course the older version of winamp works better in RR with it's visualization.

                    All is good now.

The way I see it...there are really only 2 versions of winamp that I would consider both stable and skin friendly.

Those would be 2.95 for the users that want only the basic basic's and 5.13 for anything beyond the basic's.
                      RideRunner...The #1 FE, PERIOD.
