  • Need help embeding a program

I use this program call Volume_Amp_Control for my amps. I would like to embed it into RR. I don't use the radio in RR. Is there away to use Volume_Amp_Control in place of the radio? That way I can turn off or on the amps with out minimizing RR.

Sry if i'm putting this in the wrong place.

    Thanks Soloxp

I'm somewhat new to this as well, bit i've done it. Let me see if I remember correctly.
1- D/L and install RR skin editor
    2- Open your skin
3- Go to the page in the skin that has the button you want to change (I assume the menu)
4- Right-click on the button's area and change the action from RADIO to LAUNCH, then add a space then the path to the executable you want to run.

I may be a little off, but that's generally how you do it if i'm remembering correctly. Hope I could help.

      Thx for the help.

Will it be something like this ("LAUNCH" C:\Volume_Amp_Control\Volume_Amp Control.exe)

I think so, but if it doesnt work, try it without the " around the LAUNCH command. Please let me know if it worked.

          use this

          in exectbl file

          "AMP","RUNQ;$rrpath$Volume_Amp_Control\Volume_Amp Control.exe"

if you put the Volume_Amp_Control folder in your rr root, this will run the app for you
if you want it in your skin folder change rrpath to skinpath.

          then on your button "AMP"
don't use launch as it is already a rr cmd.

the line above is for running the app in its own skin.

Just remembered ,i was in plugin mode,

if the program you have installed is in your c: use the line above, but from where its says $RRPATH$ change that to your path of the program

              "AMP","RUNQ;C:\Volume_Amp_Control\Volume_Amp Control.exe"

              or this

              "AMP","LOAD;YOURSKIN.skin||RUN;C:\Volume_Amp_Contr ol\Volume_Amp Control.exe;Volume_Amp_Control"

the last bit in red is the window name of your APP .

              Enjoy

Thanks for all your help guys. I found this program call HotkeyMaster. I have 2 keys setup on my mini ps3 keyboard to turn on & off the amps. For start up...I just put the .exe in the startup folder. The reason I have 2 keys setup...is cause it kill the Volume_Amp Control.exe. The sec key restart it.

I use this for now till I can get this info you guys gave me enbeded into RR.

                Thanks
