  • Problem with creating a proper DVD skin

Allright, I'm at a loss here. I'm having various problems with the dvd player function.

    1. DVD auto hide: I don't see an option for that, VIDEO auto hide doesn't help here.

    2. Are there commands for MENU, TITLE, PREV/NEXT CHAPTER, or do I have to recreate those by using sendmsg ? I couldn't find them in the documentation.

    3. Also FFWD and FRWD doesn't work. Instead PREV and NEXT cycle through different speeds. Same here ?

    4. Resizing of the video doesn't seem to be correct. This is my preliminary skin code for dvd_player.skin:

    Code:
    MEDIACAR Skin
    MEDIACAR dvd_player Skin
    dvd_player_off.png,dvd_player_off.png,dvd_player_on.png,dvd_player_down.png

    B01,000,834,313,190,"EXIT"

    B05,108,693,122,122,"PREV"
    B06,235,693,122,122,"FRW"
    B07,362,693,182,122,""
    B08,549,693,182,122,"PLAY",@STOP@
    B09,736,693,182,122,""
    B10,923,693,122,122,"FFWD"
    B11,1050,693,122,122,"NEXT"

    A01,057,057,1166,630
    C01,057,057,1166,630

    END
But the dvd-video is always larger than the clipping area. It doesn't scale correctly. I also tried "MS DirectShow Player", but the same happens here.
    The skin is 1280x1024.

    I'd expect something like this:

I'm running Vista Business 64 with Vista Codecs Pack.

    Konrad,

"up" , "down" is the prev/next chapter commands...

    "prev", "next" is the speeds

    "rootmenu" is rootmenu
    -Thanks

for the aspect ratio you should check/change your screen aspect ratio setting in RRConfig -- or use the ZOOM command to fix/adjust the aspect ratio of the DVD during playback. The same setting for Video Auto Hide should work for DVD -- so check that too.
