  • Is there anything about the reminder screen that could cause the CPU to hit 100%

My carPC is currently running 6/1/2009 (haven't had time to update yet...), but just this past Friday, my HORM system restores and RR is terribly unresponsive, CPU hits 100%. Even after I managed to exit RR, the CPU is still it 100%. I've traced the process to one of many svchost.exe.

It's been working flawlessly all this time even with the reminder screen popping up.

I had to delete my restoration data to gain control of my carPC.

For now, I've just shut it down and will be updating it on the next startup.

Sounds like a windows service having trouble with resuming.. The reminder screen doesn't execute any code whatsoever, it's only displayed and after 15 secs it is unloaded.

      Good to know.

I've updated RR, reset my HORM state and it seems to have resolved the issue so far.

      Thanks!
