  • embed WebCamXP?

Has anyone embedded WebCamXP in Road runner I am trying to set it up to use as a multi cam screen it works ok i am still working on some stuff but am getting there the problems I am having are how to make rr send the commands to it. It will accept commands via the Windows Messages protocol, and I also can't figure out how to make it load into the security view that hace the 4-6 blocks I want.

    Thanks,
    yonu

Just to be sure, are you using Active WebCam by PY_Software?

If so, so am I. I am building a multicam setup for my RV and I have 4 cameras setup with WebCam embedding in a test skin.

I haven't gotten to the command process as of yet but I plan to do the following "commands":
    select a camera,
jump in and out of FullScreen for the selected camera,
    start and stop recording,
    take snapshots
    and other assorted things
My usage is to monitor to the rear of my RV, monitor down both sides, and the final camera faces forward to record our travels.

My problem right now is eliminating the menu bar below the title bar. RR takes care of the title bar but I can't seem to find a way of getting rid of the menu bar. I know I did it with an nRoute embed several years ago, but an inappropriate cleanup deleted the skin I used. I've tried "clipping(CXX) to no avail. The menu bar is just tall enough to really mess up my skin design.

I am running the 12/1/2009 version of RideRunner on windows XP SP3.

Have you managed to eliminate the menubar? If so, could I see the method you used.

    Regards,
    Jim

        yonu,

I would appreciate any input on eliminating the menu bar.

I don't know of a simple way to do a snapshot on all cameras at once, but when I get to doing commands (within a day or two) I will sure look into it as I can think of a reason that I might want to do that.

        Regards,
        Jim

          yonu,

I found a away to remove the menu bar using and AutoIt script. Once I have loaded WebCam, I cause an external program(the AutoIt Script) to run which removes the menubar.

          The AutoIt code is"

          Code:
          	$AWC_Hwnd = WinGetHandle("[CLASS:<name of main window class>", "")
          	_GUICtrlMenu_SetMenu($AWC_Hwnd, 0)
          Regards,
          Jim

            yonu,

I am also having problems sending keystroke commands to Active WebCam.

I will continue working on it tomorrow.

            Regards,
            Jim
