  • XM Radio with XM Direct and roadrunner

Got xm on riderunner running. I figured out that the usb interface must be just that. An interface. Meaning the xm direct box must be plugged in to get riderunner to acknowledge it. I'm assuming the mp3car box is just a custom serial interface box.

I believe so. Just be forewarned if you have the car2PC adapter, they use the same chipset and do not work together. Atleast mine didnt.

they do... its because the xm interface is using older drivers
and causing files to be mixed up
need to install the one that uses the newest drivers last

My xm direct reciever stopped putting out sound. Also, it seems that I have to unplug and replug in the reciever to make it work at times (at least in its limited capacity). It shows what's playing on the radio, but I can't hear anything playing. You think its the tuner or the usb interface box?

          not the usb box...
but i would test it all with my XM Interface demo
you wont hear anything, unless you tell windows to allow you to hear
ie... un mute line in, or capture the audio
          -Thanks

Right. I tried testing the box. When it did work I noticed the audio would stop when I close roadrunner. Even when I plugged the audio lines straight into my tv (of course the data connection was still plugged into computer). This is how I tested it. It seems to erratically sometimes not detect the xm reciever unless I unplug and replug everything. I sent the adapter into mp3car for testing last week. I'm about to send the xm box to audiovox for repairs as well
