  • Calculation of the tides

I don't know if it's a good idea but this software embedded into RR would be a good idea for all surfer guys, no ?

    And the fishers.
The rest of us merely need the full moon warning.

Funny this was mentioned, I have been thinking on adding something like this to the DFX skin over the past weeks... This just gave me an excuse to put something together

I put together an exe that will scrape a web page, and put the info into variables in RR. I did the skins and all for the DFX skin, and have also attached a copy of the .exe here for use with other skins.

The variables are done in rows and columns. the first digit is the row, and the second is the column for putting the variables into a skin.

      like this:

      $Info11$ $Info12$ $Info13$ $Info14$ $Info15$ $Info16$
      $Info21$ $Info22$ $Info23$ $Info24$ $Info25$ $Info26$
      $Info31$ $Info32$ $Info33$ $Info34$ $Info35$ $Info36$
      $Info41$ ' ' ' '
      $Info51$ ' ' ' '

It works 2 ways, by default if you just run the .exe, it will get the tidal information based on your GPS location in RR. You can also pass a zipcode to it on the command line, to view tidal information for any zip code in the US.

NOTE: Unfortunately, I can not seem to find a page to get this information other than in the US.

Below are the download, and a screen cap of the information in the DFX Skin:

          LOL!

Again, unfortunately it will only work in the US, as that is all I could find for tidal information....

It is real easy, just use the variables like above in the skin:

"=$Info11$" would show the first row and first column
"=$Info12$" would show the first row and second column

          and so on.....

My skin will not work as an example due to all the dynamic font sizes, colors ect....

I have tried to create a screen with these variables and launched your exe.

The exe run and stop and i see nothing on the screen.

i have that into my screen:

            Code:
            L,13,101,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info11$","center"
            L,13,151,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info21$","center"
            L,122,151,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info22$","center"
            L,122,101,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info12$","center"
            L,233,101,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info13$","center"
            L,343,101,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info14$","center"
            L,456,101,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info15$","center"
            L,569,101,98,32,255,255,255,16,"Arial","=$Info16$","center"

You either have to have a valid GPS signal (Within the US) or pass a command line zipcode to the program.

Give this line a try, changing the paths as necessary:

              RunQ;$skinpath$scripts\TideInfo\Tidal Information.exe|33463
Front End of Choice: Ride Runner (Is there anything else??? ) & Powered by the DFX5.1 Skin Available in the Mobile App Mart
