  • saving presets to button in radio skin (Venice5)

Is there anyway to save presets to buttons instead of in a list as currently done in the radio skin (Venice5 radio) ?
The road is long but we are getting there.

    have a look in Riderunner\Documents\New radio cmds.txt

    Loadpreset;XXXXXX
    Savepreset;XXXXXX

XXXXX = the number of the preset button

    ie

    LOADPRESET;Preset1

Load and save presets is no problem. But how I get the label for preset 2, preset3 and so on (not only the current STATION)...?

                  just a fyi

                  FMPRESET is depreciated

                  Loadpreset;XXXXXX
                  is preferred

                  usage example:
                  B13,521,13,68,86,"LOADPRESET;PRESET1",@SAVEPREST;P RESET1@
                  -Thanks

just modding the code from MDG

                          B01,87,113,99,52,"LOADPRESET;PRESET1",@SAVEPREST;P RESET1||SETVARBYCODE;FMP01;RDSNAME||SAVETOSKIN;FMP 01;$FMP01$@

                          your label code will be

                          L,XX,XX,XX,XX,blah, blah,"=$FMP01$"

this will give you the station name as a label

seems odd to save 2 things for one preset...maybe i can improve

specially on in a preset file, and one in a skin file
                            -Thanks

maybe if you can add a var to the save prset option ,, so the user can set what they want to save as a label

                              ie... saveprest;1;rdsname
                              savepreset1;RDSTEXT

                              if blank saves nothing

                              only a suggestion

and before you msn me mitch , i'm at work so no msn
                              pm you can ,
