  • problem with "WRITETOFILE"

    Hello,

I have a problem with the "WriteToFile"

    When I write this:
    WriteToFile; $SKINPATH$ toto.txt; = "toto, toto, toto"

and when I open the file toto.txt, there to write it:
    "tot

In fact I think we can not write a comma in quotes because when I put the same function without any point he writes well in the txt file.

    example:
    WriteToFile; $SKINPATH$ toto.txt; = "totototototo"

here is what he has to file toto.txt:
    "totototototo"

It's good that the problem is the comma, is there a solution to this problem?

    Greetings.

Now, why on earth would you need "BLA,BLA" in a skin file?

I do not want to write to a file. INI, I want to write in a txt file and confirm that if we do not place the comma in the ini file, it does not work

              sure it does!

              WRITETOFILE;E:\TEST.txt;="BLA,BLA"

will write, to a file named "test.txt" on root folder of drive E, with the contents:

              "BLA,BLA"

(including the qoutes, which must be there if you want , inside)

and again, since you provide no infomation, i will suggest you use the latest riderunner

The issue here is the use of comma WITH quotes in the manner you're using. Generally you should have no issue but if you do, you can use this trick:

"SETVAR;COMMA;,||ADDTOFILE;C:\Test.txt;="boo$comma $boo"" however these versions should work directly without needing anything:

                "ADDTOFILE;C:\Test.txt;='boo,boo'"
                "ADDTOFILE;C:\Test.txt;="boo","boo""

If you execute the command from a plugin/script (i.e. skintool) it should work in the original format. It is just hard to think of all the possible uses for the command when we make it.

                  Thank you Guino

I have another problem, I just installed on my PC windows7 home, but when I run RR, there must be problems right director, because I normally IBUSRR which launches at startup with the "RUNQ "in Exectbl.

But it does not start, so I tried to boot RR as an administrator, but it does not start.
By cons with Skintool run as administrator, it works, it nevertheless starts IBUSRR.

                  No problem in XP

rr when started will automatically ask for elevation... its built into the manafest... if you set it .exe to run as admin, you wont get nagged
but that has nothing to do with IBUSSRR... which is 3rd party
                    -Thanks

From what you said it seems you installed RR as a regular user (not admin) and now you're trying to run it as an admin user ? I would recommend disabling UAC, uninstalling it with the regular user and installing it as administrator (which you will use to run it). I have done no testing on running RR as a regular user, or even worse, installing it as one user and running as another.

But what is strange is that at home I am administrator of my machine (with all admin rights).
In my car I'm still running XP, so I have no problem.

It does not bother me that IBUSRR does not start at home (since I do not ibus at home), but I said if this problem exists with the launch of the command runq IBUSRR with windows 7, then it can happen with another program ...
