  • Request for Custom Source ACTIVESOURCEID

As topic stated, small request for a new ACTIVESOURCEID (0, or maybe 9?) for the custom source. This way labels created with BYVAR can work with custom sources (web radio, shoutcast, last.fm etc)

    customsources have activesourceids...
    they will be 10+
course you dont know what custom source is what id, if you have more than one, thats why a custom source has a GUID
and byvar may only work on your system not on another guys system, cause he might have different customsource plugins

course as far as i know, there are only 2 custom sources, todate... one is private, the other is my web radio...
    -Thanks

Does RR pass the custom activesourceid to the plugin someway? I'd think that most plugins would just override TRACKNAME/TAGTITLE labels, so just specifying those should work.

My RRShoutcast plugin is a custom source plugin that's available now, as is my upcoming Last.FM plugin. I may also take a stab at the new ORB api and make a plugin out of that. Hope everyone's data caps are ready

a custom source plugin KNOWS when its active, when it is then you override the trackname...

i dont want anyone to read this and be confused, you dont use activesourceid in your plugin of a customsource.

every customsource knows when its active or not
          -Thanks

Or you could do like me and create your own audiosource trigger using RRCode cause activesourceid is so closed.

Yea but that goes against my own personal redundancy laws. Can't have that
