  • RR 08-01-2012 Release and PC Navigator 9

    Hi,

Until now I used the 2012 june release of RR, and I use PC Navigator 9
I start with the next skin sequence (without problems for a couple of years and previous releases of RR):

    B,200,3,136,120,"LOAD;navigator_gps.skin;Navigator ;C:\Program Files (x86)\Navigator9\PC_Navigator\PC_Navigator.exe;Nav igator"

Today I update my RR to the 08-01-2012 release and whe I try to start PC Navigator nothing happens and didn't start

I reinstall the june version and everything is working again

is there anyone with this problem? and do you solve it?

    thanks & kind regards

pc navigator isnt perfectly(and i use this term loosly) supported till 8/8 version of rr
but i still feel if set up right it will work with 8/1

i see from that load, your using the non free version right?

    debug.txt might shead some light
also for window name better as "!MPFCWindow!Navigator"
using the class will help make sure right window does embedd

but not launching, is something in your load command
    -Thanks

      so... 8/1 is for sure...

only EVER tested with free ver

also 8/8 has some key fixes for nav 11 and gps window ebedding in general
and rr exiting tasks left running
      -Thanks

        24/08/2012 7:59:35: Executing: CANCEL

in the new RR version, appears a new line:

        Shell: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Navigator9\PC_Navigator\PC_Navigator.exe" --window_position=

there is a "--window_position=" that is not in the skin

the skin is the same we have for many years:
        B,200,3,136,120,"LOAD;navigator_gps.skin;Navigator ;C:\Program Files (x86)\Navigator9\PC_Navigator\PC_Navigator.exe;Nav igator"

also I tried with "!MPFCWindow!Navigator" with the same result

        thanks & regards

Try removing the "C" line - we kind of integrated PC Navigator into RR and the C line would likely make it "disappear" since it's nicely into the skin now.

That is definitely interesting, I'd like to have a closer look at this, I just don't have the "paid" version to test with. Any chance you'd be available for a remote connection session ? PM me if you can do that. Then I should be able to have a closer look and adjust it.

the free version is the same version as the non free, the unique difference are the maps

                        regards
