  • MediaList playlist, id3tags and id3ListFormat

    Hello,

    I have and audio_player.skin with a IL and a Medialist:

    IL,PL,RGB000000,RGB000000,________________________ _______________________________________,2,50,80

    ML,PL,"%SColr=#000000%%Color=#FFFFFF%%TextW=800%%T ITLE%%TextY=34%%Font=Tahoma:20:B%%Color=#909090%%T extW=800%%ARTIST%, %ALBUM%",300

    S,234,240,814,712,255,255,255,0,0,0,0,255,0,255,12 8,0,0,0,0,,20,"Tahoma:B"

    also there is a Label for the current song with a tagartist, tagalbum, tagtitle

    at rr.ini the tag section is:

    [Audio Player - Tags & Formatting]
    UseID3=2
    ShowID3Playlist=True
    ShowID3Browse=True
    LazyTag=False
    ID3ListFormat=%artist% - %album% - %title%
    ID3BrowseFormat=%artist% - %album% - %title%
    NoFormat=False
    ListNumbers=False
    TitlesAfter=
    ScrollMode=1

    That's works very well

    the problem appears when I do a playlist with a skin with a Directory List and with the commands CLEARLIST, SELECT+ and SAVELIST. The new playlist allways have a #EXTINF at the first song, like this:

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0,Acoustic Alchemy - Against The Grain - Against The Grain
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\01 Against The Grain.mp3
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\02 Lazeez.mp3
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\03 A Different Kind of Freedom.mp3
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\04 Lady Lynda.mp3
    ...

    when I load that list at the audio_player.skin with the medialist, then the first song at the medialist appears with:
    title: Acoustic Alchemy - Against The Grain - Against The Grain
    album: "blank"
    artist: "blank"

    the other ones lines are correct.

    and the current song tagartist, tagalbum, tagtitle are blank

    is possible to generate the playlist without the #extinf?

    Trying diferent ID3ListFormat, I can see that the #EXTINF is constructed with that information

    When I try with

    ID3ListFormat=

    then the playlist is:

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0,
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\01 Against The Grain.mp3
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\02 Lazeez.mp3
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\03 A Different Kind of Freedom.mp3
    C:\Musica\Mp3\Acoustic Alchemy\Against The Grain\04 Lady Lynda.mp3
    ...

    the playlist loads perfect at the audio_player.skin

    But when I scroll down the medialist (or play next, with random), the other lines (different to the line the song is played) have the title with the filename of the song (instead of the title tag) and the artist and album tags are blank. when I browse that list up and down again, then refresh with the correct tags, but I need to browse some times or exit the skin and reenter. then when I go to a new section of the medialist, wich I didn't browse before, again the list is visualized wrong.

    thanks and regards

    What worked for me on the playlists was to open them in notepad and check to see if the path is correct.

    Yes, I use Winamp to make the playlist, on the computer that I am actually using, but it looks like this:

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:208,AC/DC - Highway to Hell
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\01 Highway to Hell.mp3
    #EXTINF:202,AC/DC - Girls Got Rhythm
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\02 Girls Got Rhythm.mp3
    #EXTINF:309,AC/DC - Walk All Over You
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\03 Walk All Over You.mp3
    #EXTINF:265,AC/DC - Touch Too Much
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\04 Touch Too Much.mp3
    #EXTINF:235,AC/DC - Beating Around the Bush
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\05 Beating Around the Bush.mp3
    #EXTINF:202,AC/DC - Shot Down in Flames
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\06 Shot Down in Flames.mp3
    #EXTINF:154,AC/DC - Get It Hot
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\07 Get It Hot.mp3
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\08 If You Want Blood (You've Got It).mp3
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\09 Love Hungry Man.mp3
    \Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\10 Night Prowler.mp3

    If I try to run that playlist in RR, it does not work.

    My complete path to the songs is D:\Music\AC-DC......

    So I open it in notepad, do a find and replace on "\Music" replacing it with "D:\Music". That's what makes it work. The path must be complete and explicit.

    For good measure I also get rid of all the lines that start with #EXTINF:....They are not needed. So a good playlist looks like this.

    #EXTM3U
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\01 Highway to Hell.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\02 Girls Got Rhythm.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\03 Walk All Over You.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\04 Touch Too Much.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\05 Beating Around the Bush.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\06 Shot Down in Flames.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\07 Get It Hot.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\08 If You Want Blood (You've Got It).mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\09 Love Hungry Man.mp3
    D:\Music\AC-DC\Highway To Hell\10 Night Prowler.mp3

    Obviously set the path to whatever it is in your system.....

    Hope that helps.

    I give full credit to Mitch, he helped me with this last year.

      Thanks, but the problem is creating the playlist directly from Riderunner.

      The path is correct, as you can see at the example.

      At the car is difficult to edit the playlist to remove the #EXTINF lines

      thanks and Regards

            but the line with the #EXTINF at the medialist appears with:

            title: Acoustic Alchemy - Against The Grain - Against The Grain (and the correct title is Against The Grain)
            album: "blank"
            artist: "blank"

            and the other lines without the #extinf appears normal

            thanks

                i also see no issue...

                i put a bunch of songs in playlist

                issue the command "savelist;e:\test.m3u8"
                issue the command "clearlist"
                issue the command "loadlist;e:\test.m3u8"

                  you know, make sure you set in winamp....
                  this says, to RR, use RR for TAGS

                  prob should be removed from RR, to allow winamp to supply em

                      I have that configuration in winamp.

                      I use a skin with directory list to create the playlist, then I load the playlist with the audio_player.skin wich use a medialist

                      thanks

                          Hi,

                          I tried with carwings
                          I created a playlist with the audio_browser skin (to do that I changed a button, the home button to savelist, since there's no save list command in the skin)
                          I select that playlist with the audio_playlist skin and I have the same problem

                          thanks & regards
