  • Help with dynamic commands ???

Can someone help me out with the dynamic commands and menu. I cannot get these options to work. If someone has worked with these option please post the syntax of the lines in the skin file. I have red the readme txt included in road runner but cannot get them to work.

I tested all of them one by one, option by option. All you have to do is replace the code of a button (or create a button) using the examples in the Skin Commands.txt file (available now with road runner).

A typical example would be to run an external command that does something (non-visual on the computer). I.e. renew ip address: "RUN:IPCONFIG /RENEW"

so the button code (complete) would be like:

    B01,005,004,230,062,"RUN:IPCONFIG /RENEW",""

optionally you could specify the text to be spoken (when voice is on):

    B01,005,004,230,062,"RUN:IPCONFIG /RENEW:Renewing IP address",""

    Hope that helps,
    Guino.

Well I did this but nothing happens

The appearance button in configured to run a program called "cam" that is in the directory "Cam" in my C: drive. This program is a standalone .exe (frodocam) that displays a rear view camera.
When I press the button nothing happens.
I tried the other two options (dynamic screen and menu and they work great).

Can you take a look in the attached skin file on how I did it and tell me if I am doing something wrong.

      Thanks

The problem is that "C:" there.. you should not use ":" in the command.. try simply "RUN:\cam\cam.exe" -- as long as you're running it from the same drive letter it should work. You also have the option to move the cam.exe on to RR's path (and just use "RUN:cam.exe") OR create a .bat file to run it (plus other things at once)..

For instance: "RUN:cam.bat" and in the bat file:
        c:
        cd cam
        cam.exe
