  • RR 03-11-05.. Mixer Presets ...

    A few more improvements done:

    * Added support to load/save Mixer Presets
    * Added support for Merging Data Labels
    * Added Skin commands:
"DAYGAMMA", "DAYSKIN", "NIGHTGAMMA", "NIGHTSKIN" and "TAGTITLE"
    * Improved Resume Playing function
    * Fixed Lazy TAG display issue with files without tags

Check the Skin Commands.txt file for how add preset support onto skins.. basically you create a button and when you wish to store the preset you press and hold that button (Half a second is enough). Whenever you wish to load that preset you press that button normally (without holding). Presets will save all mixer info and winamp volumes/EQ by default, but it is possible to make presets only for windows mixer or only for winamp... this allows you to (for instance) make a preset for video playing, one for audio playing, one for Radio, TV... really as many as you want.. then it can be easily loaded whenever you press the "VIDEO" or "AUDIO" button... for this all you need to do is add the commands together (i.e. "AUDIO||PRESET;AUDIO") -- You'd of course have to create an "audio" preset prior to using it (or it won't do anything) -- you can create it by simply pressing and holding any preset button you have (after setting mixer options), then simply copy that .PST file over as AUDIO.PST.

These are just examples of course... there's not yet any skin that supports these functions, but they can be very usefull.

Let me know if you have problems..
    Guino.

Getting it now! I'll let you know! (first to post! )

that problem that I was having with the playlist crashing I resolved by changing my directory as follows:

my mp3s/videos are in c:\media\mp3 however if I put that path I get the freezing playlist... If I put "c:\media\" then when the filelist comes I go into the MP3 directory it works!

do you know what can be going on? is it a bug or is it intended to be that way due to some setting I'm overlooking?

    Thanks!

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)

You might just need that '\' in the end to say "c:\media\mp3\". There's prevention in RR for this but I don't typically test all this stuff (for lack of time).

how does it exactly crash ? when you go into audio player or browser ? does it show an error message or simply quits ? does winamp quit with RR or does it stay open ? I have never seen this before..

Incredible!! Guino you are developing RoadRunner at the light speed!! I think that the skinners have difficulty in keeping the step

Now RoadRunner already seems mature to me; misses only the support for the keyboard and the phone. What want more from the life?

phone is being worked on by hematec right now.. He volunteered for the work since he has the equipment... I can start working on native keyboard support, shouldn't be too bad now that most of the software is layed out.. The way I see it, I'll make pretty much everything controllable by arrow keys, at the same time, allowing for custom keys to be setup for any actions users might want to perform "quickly".

Sorry to be a pain in the ***, but i found one tiny little thing regarding ID3 Tags in this latest version. Same config as my previous post
                  http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...37&postcount=8
                  except for adding LazyTag=False:

When a song is playing that has no ID3 tag (display fine in playlist), and you exit RR, and start it again with resume on, the song is now showing up in playlist as "full path+filename".

When LazyTag=True this is working OK...

Tried this on two different computers with different skins including BrushMetal

Interesting, I've just tried both here with lazytag on and off and seems to work.. I tested by leaving both a song with tag and without tag playing then exiting RR and return and the info showed correctly... Also, It is hard to believe that you're getting a full path display with lazytag OFF. Only when lazytag is ON it is possible to get a path in the playlist (until it loads the tag)... can you show me a screen shot ? Thanks...

PS: I need to know the bugs (and about them) or I don't have how to fix them..

Great stuff Guino - just downloaded it

Great to have the song names fixed too

                      Three issues

                      1) (always had this so not this issue) often after the first time milkdrop is used and then went back to playlist can take several clicks to get back up (have waited for ages but nothing)
                      2) Just tried dvd for first time- problem is that when the menu came up the mouse arrow disapeared so unble to select on the menu to play! IF I get controls back up it re-appears but the control panel covers the menu part. (no TS and mouse not hidden in config)
                      3) is there anyway in music player to repeat a song? as I think it only has random and repeat all?

Yeah maybe the repeat should be for just one song rather than repeat all.. unsure if it was like this in mediacar or not.. I havent tried a dvd yet :-) looking forward to it

I'm having trouble keeping up with all these updates.. lol

OK, here is a screenshot, with config page pasted in to show you the settings i used.

Song 42 is the resumed song without ID3 tag, note that song 44 doesn't have ID3 tag but displays OK.

I really don't understand how to use preset function for equalization settings...
