  • RR 03-17-05.. A few more ...

Improved Skins support a little bit:

    # Added Flash Indicators Support
    # Added Flash Clipping Support
    # Added Support for SDK and flash to send commands "as repeat"
    # Added "TODAY" label code for flash support
    # Improved Switching Data Labels to switch format as well
    # Improved AVS Vis support
    # Made Config Tool delete Resume file

Just in case you wonder, I have not had much time to document the above.. so here a few quickies (ask by all means if you want to use a skin feature I have not/poorly documented).

Flash scripts now receive the DEFINED indicator codes as variables with values ON or OFF to indicate their state.

Flash Objects (And perhaps I'll extend to other objects next) can have regions "clipped out" for showing original skin background, indicators, buttons, slider, labels (basically anything). There can be multiple clippings as well, the way to do it is using the normal clipping definition but starting the object number with an F. For instance:

CF1,XXX,YYY,WWW,HHH (Will clip the first defined flash object)

There's a limitation where the flash object must have been created BEFORE the clipping definition. Also, the coordinates of clipping are relative to the Flash object (and not the skin) -- this means that 0,0,10,10 would clip off the top-left corner (10x10 pixels) off the flash object.

To send a SDK command "as repeat" just preceed it with an exclamation mark "!" (no quotes). To do the same from flash just make the parameter of fscommand be "asrepeat" (i.e. fscommand("NEXT", "ASREPEAT") )

I "tried" fixing the MM border bug, but haven't yet tested in my car (where I can test it).

Still need to work on browser issues...
    Guino.

EDIT: the "fix" for MM's border issue seems to work

All looks good, will have a play later today. Will be able to finish off the audio section anyway now.. I've also been thinking of other things to add.. like changable font colours, so as well as a changable background, you will have changable colours too.. should help it look more oem in and car. Is there any chance you could have a look at the playlist update with RRNEXT commands, then it will be complete :-) Thanks for all your hard work..The reason why i'm using the RRNEXT commands is that the normal ones tend to skip more then one track at once.

sweet job guino vis works great in the window now!

I don't think my via m10k supports overlay mode because I just get a green screen when it's fullscreen. the visu window look sweet though! Also, looked around for a while and can't find any other way in winamp 2.9 to get fullscreen other than right click the window and select it. double click goes to config and alt enter doesn't seem to work in 2.9.

AVS has an option (Under 'Full Screen') to make it go Full Screen with double click instead of the Editor (I've already said that). Also, the Overlay thing, I think I found a bug that the full screen vis only goes into overlay the first time you run the VIS, the next times it kind of gets "behind" everything -- I'll try to fix this.

There has been some persuasion talking on implementing mappoint support after I update a few more skin commands.. If I do this (still not certain), It will prob. be a week before releasing any major features -- although I may still release bug fixes ..

i think a search feature would probably be much more useful than mappoint IMO... not many people are using mappoint... its not touchscreen friendly

Note: I use AVS 2.81 in winamp 2.9x! (Not 5 -- probably a newer version there).
