  • Cannot find new command syntax !!!

    Hi.

I cannot seem to find the button command codes for operating the new functions “Playlist file Delete” and “ Playlist file Rename” and also the Indicators “Shift” and “Caps Lock” are not mentioned in the skin commands.txt file.

    Can anyone help out ?
The road is long but we are getting there.

I knew I forgot something.. the commands are:

    "DELETEFILE" - will load a "confirm.skin" menu/question.
"RENAMEFILE" - will bring the OSK to allow renaming the file name.

In the Confirm.skin file, the codes for yes/no are "ESC" and "ENTER" (like in the OSKs)

the Indicator codes are "SHIFT" and "SHIFTLOCK" or "CAPS" -- I have tested them with the alpine skin. it Did have a bug before.

      OK thanks Guino

It would be nice to include the indicator codes in the skin commands .txt file so people can see then.

I will write a how-two concerning the rename and delete commands. I might also include an audio browser skin file for brush metal. I will send you this so you can post it.

the deletefile options doesn't work for me. the confirm screen appears, but nothing happens. I can push yes or no and it doesn't happend anything?
What winamp should I use or why does it have no function?

Well, this may be a bug .. The file must be selected in a directory/folder list and it is immediately removed. It only works with FILES. Winamp version has nothing to do with the feature, and I'm assuming that if the file has readonly attributes, it will probably not work either. This is such an old feature that I'd have to try it again to know if it works.

Ok, so I can't delete the files directly out of my playlist? This would be great if this is possible.

And on thing I've miss in RoadRunner is the On Volume feature. can you insert a Button in RR Config touse this feature, and a list of possible Volume percents.

And when RR starts it has only this Volume and not the last used! can you insert this feature that it works after hibernate also?

Making the file be deleted from the playlist is a lot more complicated (the file may be in use and such, and thus may not work).

For volume, all you need is a mixer preset. Just save a mixer preset the way you want, and then add a start command to load it when starting RR and place the same command as the "ONRESUME" line on ExecTBL.ini so RR loads the PRESET when resuming from hibernation. Read about presets on skin commands.txt.

To Andy-M and anyone else that is looking to get the resume vol working...

                  1. First, go into your RR folder and make a copy of one of your presets (*.pst) rock, clasical,ect... and rename it to resume_vol.pst

If you don't have any pst files then you need to go to the mixer screen
and hold down one of the presets for like 2 seconds and that will create a
                  preset file.

                  2. Now you need to open the resume_vol.pst file in notepad and it will look something like mine below.. I put comments in so that it shouldn't be as hard to figure out what line is what. The only thing is that every soundcard is diff and you might have to play with different lines to find the one that controls the volume that you are using, I just use the main vol...

                  My resume_vol.pst

                  255 <-- Winamp vol
                  32 <-- winamp Preamp
32 ---60 Hz <-- start winamp EQ Bands
                  32 ---170 Hz
                  32 ---310 HZ
                  32 ---600 Hz
                  32 ---1 kHz
                  32 ---3 kHz
                  32 ---6 kHz
                  32 ---12 kHz
                  32 ---14 kHz
                  32 ---16 kHz<-- End EQ winamp bands
50 <-- Winamp balance ie..0 is left 100 is right or visa versa(?)
1965 <-- This was the value that I had to change to whatever you want it set to, mine is set to 3%
65535 <-- the rest of these are things like line in...cd ....mike
65535 <-- this section changes for every sound card..ie....
65535 <-- the more in/outs you have the more of a listing you
                  65535 <-- you will have....
                  65535
                  65535
                  65535
                  0
                  0
To set whatever vol % you want, you just take the hightest number in bottom section( this should represent a max vol setting..like mine is 65535, I have the CD,line in..ect all set to 100%

Then just multiply the max # by what ever % you want it to resume to and try that # in the line specified or a diff one till it works, mine being 3% = ~1965 Save and close.

                  3. Now open your ExecTBL.ini file and change it to look like the following line, if you have anything else going on at resume, put "||" between the commands, no quotes.

You can also add it to the config startup command section, so that weather you are resuming or rebooting it will always start at that vol %, just add the PRESET;Resume_vol;MIXER part

                  "ONRESUME","PRESET;Resume_vol;MIXER"
                  4. Close/save and give a try....

Hope this write up gives you a little better explaination....

I don't think that you can through the pst file...it doens't keep track of mute state just volume settings..

That is aside from setting that particular line to 0, buts thats not what your asking either...all that I can help!

1-in RRconfig you'd set your start command to: SETVOL;Master;0
                          2-in ExecTBL.INI you'd set your ONRESUME event to: "ONRESUME","SETVOL;Master;0"
