  • Need Help with Terratec Cinergy 400

    Hi.

I just bought a Terrated cinergy 400 TV tuner
It has only a TV tuner and no Radio
It has the SAA7134 Philips chip inside.

The card runs perfectly with the provided program but I cannot seem to get it to work with winamp. I am using winamp 2.9 and all I get is a black screen.
I have done a scan and saved all my channels. When I select a channel (in winamp) I can hear the sound but I cannot see anything (black screen). I have gone through the TV FAQ a couple of times so I am pretty sure I'm doing everything correctly

Can someone please help me out ????

You can try swich the "PIN INPUT" between Preview/Capture and also try and set a custom Capture Frame size (some cards don't work with the automatic/custom option).

Well I did all of that but I think it's a winapm problem

I have winamp 2.91. I tried out winamp5 and everything is OK.

Do you have and early version of winamp that plays fine.

Winamp5 isa little slow for me

Interesting... maybe it's the TV plugin that's using something with winamp's 5 SDK.. if you're using the version 1.9, maybe you want to try an earlier version.. I have V1.7d on my laptop and it works fine on my laptop with a WDM camera (winamp 2.91)..

I tried out the version that you suggested but it did not work out. It still does not work (black screen, The TV sound can be heard) when I use any version of winamp either than winamp5 which operates very good.

          Any ideas or Suggestions ??

I'm assuming you get this problem with Winamp alone (outside RR) too ?

The only thing I can suggest is try to go in the winamp 2.9 plugin's folder and delete the plugin.ini file used to store settings for the TV plugin.. then re-configure it and see if it works.. I say this because I had an issue myself here where the plugin would NOT start -- it would completely freeze up winamp showing just a blank square and, no matter what I tried with the settings, it still was doing that until I deleted the settings file and started over. It works just fine now for me..
