  • Display labels from FreeDrive

Lo, first of all sorry for being thick, but trying to suss this out. OK.. say I want to display my speed on any page in RR.. I assume I must first set a label up in the skin as follows - Lxx,xxx,...,"!FDSPEED","Loading..."

Now, do I just use the same type of commands to send to RR ? Like COMSend "RoadRunner", !FDSPEED, "30"

    that type of thing ?

ok just add bit of code into freedrive so it 'should' now be able to send info out.

I have hardcoded in this line, just to see if its working..

        COMSend "RoadRunner", "FDSPEED;30"

now.. in my flash I have added a dynamic variable which is looking for a variable called FDSPEED, and I have also added the following line to the menu.skin (main menu) which should be all I need to do, but its aint working

        L11,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,14,"Arial Narrow:B","!FDSPEED","test"

now I cant set !FDSPEED in flash as a variable, which maybe where its getting stuck.. any ideas ?

Then we'll have to define something else for it to work in flash -- I wasn't sure this would work, but I have to specify some type of identifier in RR for custom labels or it will blank out any unknown tags.. You can either cut the flash and show the native "custom" label, or I can add something like "CUSTOMXXXXX" tags support where "CUSTOM" and "!" do the same thing..
