  • RR 04-19-05.. Improved Phoco..

    In This version:

    -Added Keyboard Support for PhoneBook/CallLists
    -Added "GETFOCUS" command for skins/remote
-Added Peveition against double clicks on empty areas
-Improved Phoco support to close it propperly and faster
-Improved Phoco support to auto reload SIM card (if any)
-Improved Phoco support to Load PhoneCTL.PB.XML when internal addressbook is not yet present
-Improved Phoco's Interfacing to prevent missing messages
-Fixed Loading Call Lists From Phoco -- This does takes a few seconds
-Fixed Phone's Signal Strength display (wrong scale)
-Fixed fast highlighting buttons "bug" of badly defined skins
-Fixed Flash and Clipping Window/Flash Regions to resize correctly
-Fixed Girder/Video Player Issues from version 4-15

    Notes:
-The Flash Objects in the skins may need to be resized according to your logo (The wrong aspect ratio was being used -- now you should make sure to set the flash object using a propportional aspect ration you want to see)
-This version may NOT close phoco at all times, this is because RR was always ending up killing Phoco's task and leaving icons on the taskbar. (I'll look into it a little more)
-I hope to have fixed most issues with Phoco now
-If you want RR to always load your call list from the phone, simple leave the Callsfile option in RRConfig BLANK.

    Let me know,
    Guino.

first to see the update! yohoo!

gonna fetch now, and comment later.... just post whoring for now...

Have you checked any of the problems of the phone going away from RR and RR not changing the phone status and the user thinking the phone was still around with the last battery/signal status as before?

and also when the phone comes in range the fact that RR wasnt re-finding it....

Thank you guino, it seems to work well, I will do more research tomorrow, I just wish I could get the red alpine skin updated for PhoCo I will donate once I pay off a slight debt I have.

This is so that for instance if you have a command that when executed makes RR loose focus (i.e. after use "SENDKEY") and you'd like it to return to RR for whatever reason (say to be able to use the keyboard), you can simply append this to your command like: "SENDKEY;A||GETFOCUS" would send the letter A to whatever application is active and return the focus to RR afterwards. Use of this may vary -- but this is a way, for instance, of keeping focus in RR after starting a VIS plugin...

                PhoCo

Now if I can only find out how to configure PhoneControl properly, considering I paid for it.

So far, no official support for my Treo650, or T-Mobile h6315. Still looking into using my older Sony Ericsson P800. Looks like there's SOME support for it, but I need to track down a client app for the phone itself.

Anyone use a P800 with PhoCo? Why is PhoCo so disgustingly over-complicated?

Well, honestly, I think as long as you install the WIDCOMM thing exactly as they describe it, it should work.. I actually tried it out with the drivers from the device I got and with MS drivers and even with WIDCOMM I had issues, but really phoco works nice when you have the MACHINE issues figured out.

i don't know if this is necessarily what you would call a bug, but i am still having trouble with the sendkey buttons in the external gps screen with iguidance. in most instances the senkeys work perfectly. the one instance where it does not work is if i run iguidance embedded in roadrunner, then close rr leaving iguidance running in the background, the next time i open rr and go to the gps screen, if i click on any of the sendkey buttons, they do not work. i have to first click in the iguidance window, and only after that will the sendkeys work.

i've also done some work on the skin i started... improved the osk and made other minor modifications. www.inorkuo.dynu.com/rr_clean_skin/800x480/

guino, i tried using the SEARCHLIST command and it doesnt seem to do anything... ill use the OSK and type in a string i know i have in my playlist, and then i hit "enter" and nothing changes/filters in the list.... is there something i'm missing? is that feature even functional in 4-19 code? thanks!

What you described to me makes perfect sense (now that I think of it).. I just need to add 1 (one) line of code to fix that..
