  • Music can still play in video mode

    Is there a way to make it so that the music can override the video sound if you want. So if you want to watch a video muted and the music plays over it. Is this possible.

    no, not really.. you get either music or video or radio or TV... I've thought of (at most) mixing XM channels with MP3 files in the playlist -- this would take away from using any external XM apps.. but I really don't understand the point of "watching" a video but listening to other stuff, it would drive me insane to see it..

      I just wish the sound from the video kept playing when I switch to Nav mode

        Chances are your video/audio would get studdery because of high CPU load...

          I could handle that cause I don't do it often or for very long

            Listening to Music Videos

            OK I figured out a work around for video playing anytime anywhere. Guino, you're gonna hate me for this.

            I actually have setup music videos as a selection off my audio menu. It uses the audio skins and load the videos into winamp like my MP3s. This provides me an avenue to listen to my videos regardless what screen is actually active (as opposed to using the video which I use for avi and mpg movies which will cut the audio as soon as you switch away from the video player). Don't get me wrong I love the way the video player will pause the video whenever you switch away from it and when you return it picks right up where you left off - awesome. But simetimes I want to listen to a song that I don't have an MP3 for, just a music video.

            The work around I devised is all about getting the video imbedded. Outside of RoadRunner, I have winamp video setup tthus: "open the video window whenever videos are played" checked, uncheck both "stop playback when video window is closed" and "close the video window after video playback ends" and upon initial startup using the RR audio skin, I sometimes see if flash and disappear behind RR. I also have an external app defined as "Winamp." The following is the winamp.ini found in my launch directory:

            [GENERAL]
            PATH = C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.exe
            TryEmbeddedTimeOut = 5
            WindowSearchString=!Winamp Video

            Now I can listen to the music video playlist from all my screens (audio, nav, communications, external apps) and if I want to switch on the actual video screen I just embed winamp from the launch menu.

              I wanted to know if there was a way to have the video show in the corner of the screen in the audio player...similar to centerfuse...so i can have all my stuff on one play list
