Right click on the startup folder and click open all users.

OR go to run and put this in:

            C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

You probably copied RR.EXE into the startup folder.. you should open RR's folder (like: c:\program files\road runner\) right click on it and select create shortcut, then copy the SHORTCUT onto the startup folder.. either that or just drag RR.EXE's icon onto the startup folder using the RIGHT BUTTON and select "create shortcut"...

                      ok.. its easy

                      1. goto start -> all programs -> RoadRunner .. now right click on RR and choose copy
                      2. goto start -> all programs .. Double click on 'Start up' (window should open)
                      3. right click on this window in a blank space and choose paste

                      done

I've always added RR.exe to the registry as a string value under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Run Not sure if it loads faster though....

you know, im never one to bash a noob. and i hate to see it when they honestly have a good question.

however, this one made me spit cran-raspberry juice all over my monitor and keyboard, so i feel like i should say something.

it makes me feel that if one does not possess the simple knowledge of putting a shortcut in Startup, that he or she has absolutely no business having a computer installed in his or her car.

maybe its just me, and maybe im cranky because its so fricken hot, but this is getting to the point of, i dont even know anymore. back to CAD...

i was just up in your neck of the woods for a www.socal3g.com members meet. It is hot as hell up there. Now as far as the noob goes, this solution is one of those that is so simply it can't possibly be right. I work in computer repair as a professional technician and when I first got my carpc running on RR i was like "i wonder how i can get it to load on startup" my friends told me to put it in the startup folder and everything would work great. That was 2 weeks ago, and i just attempted it after reading this thread because i thought my friends were wrong. Sometimes it always the simpliest solution.
