  • Noob question!

    Hi

Ive just installed RR and im using the BMV2 skin, I noticed on the main screen that the centre logo is missing, I have downloaded the Ford flash logo and was wandering how to import/install it?

Is there a FAQ with help for this?

    Thanks
    Alan

Hi m8, do you have flash installed on the system you tried it on. A logo should appear...

To replace it, just rename the Ford one to logo.swf then overwrite the one in the skin folder...

Hmm, not got that far yet myself....

From what I've read on here.....If your system is quick enough then use the built in player. For slower systems then use Power DVD as it takes advantage of hardware decoding...

Thanks for your help markbuts3, do you know of any other .swf logos like RR's own for instance, as I'm not a fan of the Ford one!

I assume you got the Ford one from Ildena's thread. Most are in there...

I remember someone made a Klingon one a while ago. LOL

Not tried it m8, in the config you can list the filetypes...

                          ie .mpg,.avi,.vob

Try it, see if you can select and play a file. I don't think I have any VOBs to try at the moment...

As long as you have DirectShow VOB filers, you should be able to play it fine in both the Built in Video player or MPC (non built-in) ... You should also be able to play those in an external DVD player (i.e. PowerDVD) without the directshow filters installed.

                              Morning all!

Im not sure if I have Directdraw installed is it a windows component? I have all the latest updates if so. When I use the built-in player it doesnt play the .VOB files but the screen behaves like its about to play a movie and flickers but thats it. Any ideas?
