  • How to set up background visualization?

    I've been trying to set this up as i see others have it working without issues. I thought there would be a setting in rr.ini but i dont see one. I tried setting up a screensaver.ini but that turns ALL programs transparent. Can someone shed the light and clear this up for me please.

      Yup, it's a bug in my code. can't remember if i sent it to guino or not, but maybe if you bother him enough he'll change it for ya

      Guino if you're listening, please switch these 2 lines in the APIstuff module so that the handle is saved inside the if statement:

      Vis_hwnd = target_hwnd
      If WindowTitle = "!Winamp Gen!AVS" Then

      to

      If WindowTitle = "!Winamp Gen!AVS" Then
      Vis_hwnd = target_hwnd

      then only the winamp vis should be affected.

            Wouldn't it be a problem if you hardcode windows title? I would suggest using visuname in rr.ini instead.

            Well maybe I am wrong for whatever reason.

              the reason it's hardcoded is because it really only works well with the winamp avs. the reason i coded it wrong, actually is because i was testing exactly as you said, with a variable in screensaver.ini, but i came to the conclusion that it's only worthwhile to have for avs. milkdrop, for example, requires that music is playing otherwise it gives an annoying popup.

              it's coded that way for a reason
