Ok got it working and it was simple. After reading this thread:
    http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68089

I know alot of ppl are going to complain so heres what you need to do.
    1. You need Internet Explorer**
    2. Change Internet Explorer's homepage to your favorite traffic web site.
    3. You can add all the favorite traffic sites to Internet Explorer favorites.

    **YES YOU CAN USE FIREFOX.
I did it like this so if you are using firefox as the default browser in RR and you have Firefox set to your fav homepage, this will not change that.

If you want to use firefox instead of IE, just need to change the "/" on B01 in the traffic.skin.

Also, this should work for almost any other browser, you just need to change the button command to the browser you want to use.

i know its not what alot of ppl wanted, like myself, but it does any traffic site that you like. You can download it here.

Just had a look - seems OK... have a plan though.... can you create a version that looks like the MC2 skin ? If you can do that but have 3 or 4 buttons to select other favrouts may be, possibly by selecting diffrent skins ?

If not I can create local HTML pages to allow me to select mutiple sites... only function missing is to disable phone control when dialing out on the net.

Um, it's just a skin that embeds Internet Explorer (or Firefox). Am I missing something?

That is how the Traffic button in CFX-Rework skin works (Embeded IE with default page to a traffic site. Set up IE to not show tool bar and such).

So what's the difference between this and the default Web skin?

yes, to me it makes it easier for ppl to use their fav traffic site or sites. the prev version i did would be better, but i dont have the time to code all the maps.

If someone wants to write a better one, go for it. I just did this to get the ball rolling for traffic not only in RR, but for all the frontends.

                    heres the screenshot:

I have some cool javascript code I worked on a while back when I first started this. because this seems to be a topic again, I'll fix it tonight, but if anyone wants to take a look at it, here's the URL (Again, you'd have to setup your own maps)

ok, I fixed the javascript a little bit. If you want to adapt this code to your own map, here's what you'll need to do.

First, I can't get this to run on my carputer, so it has to be on a server on the internet (you can try installing IIS, but I have no idea if that will help)

I didn't write this, I just adapted it from another European traffic website. you'll need to copy down the following java script files.
                        http://www.seattle5s.com/carputer/js/cbe_core_light.js
                        http://www.seattle5s.com/carputer/js/cbe_event.js
                        http://www.seattle5s.com/carputer/js/cbe_util.js
                        http://www.seattle5s.com/carputer/js/indicator.js
                        http://www.seattle5s.com/carputer/js/teksten_a.js
                        http://www.seattle5s.com/carputer/js/teksten_b.js

Wherever you put the files for this, you'll need to keep the js files in the /js folder.

What you'll need to edit. If you're going to set it so you can click on parts of the image to have it take you other places, you'll need to get the largest height of your images, and the largest width of your images. For example, my widest image is 780, and my tallest image is 1092. Keep that in mind... and divide by 10 to give you 78 and 109. Anywhere you see these 4 numbers in my files, replace them with your own measurements. They must all be the same or you will have problems when going from one image to the next.

Well, that's the complicated part, the rest you can do on your own.

I'm sorry it's been a while since I've played around with RR. In the menu.skin file I replaced phoco with traffic, but it still won't pop up when i hit the phoco button. I have the traffic .skin and jpegs in the skin folder

                          ie.
