    *****************************************
    UPDATE 9-9-06 SEE POST # 28

    *****************************************
    this is the old one below

    Here is something I coked up with some of guinos new commands.

    It plays 3 songs
    Randomizes the play list and plays 1 song
    Puts back in alphabetical order
    Then starts over

    So what you end up with at least most of the time is plays 3 songs from the same artist then go to the next random artist and plays 3 more and so on.

    The ExecTBL.ini file entry
    /,-----------------------Chucks FlipFlop Play---------------------------------------------------------------------
    "ONSONGSTART","FLIPFLOPSTART"
    "FLIPFLOPSTART","BYVAR;FLIPFLOPSET;<<FLIPFLOPO N"
    "FLIPFLOP","BYVAR;FLIPFLOPSET;FLIPFLOPON<<FLIPFLOP OFF||SAVEFLIPFLOP"
    "FLIPFLOPON","FLIPFLOPJUMP||SETVAR;FLIPFLOPSET ;1"
    "FLIPFLOPOFF","SETVAR;FLIPFLOPSET;0||SETVAR;FLIP;0 ||PLABC"
    "FLIPFLOPJUMP","BYVAR;FLIP;FLIP1<<FLIP2<<FLIP3<<FL IP4<<FLOP"
    "FLIP1","SETVAR;FLIP;1"
    "FLIP2","SETVAR;FLIP;2"
    "FLIP3","SETVAR;FLIP;3||PLRANDOM"
    "FLIP4","SETVAR;FLIP;4"
    "FLOP","SETVAR;FLIP;0||PLABC"
    "PLABC","RELOADLIST||ACTIVATE;Playlist Editor||SENDKEY;^+1||RELOADLIST"
    "PLRANDOM","RELOADLIST||ACTIVATE;Playlist Editor||SENDKEY;^+r||RELOADLIST"
    "SAVEFLIPFLOP","SAVETOINI;FLIPFLOPSET;$FLIPFLOPSET $"

    The button
    B,883,90,100,30,"FLIPFLOP",""

    Labels on and off
    L,882,96,100,20,72,72,0,14,"Arial","BYVAR;FLIPFLOP SET;=Flip - Flop<<","LEFT"
    L,882,96,100,20,255,255,0,14,"Arial","BYVAR;FLIPFL OPSET;<<=Flip - Flop","LEFT"

    And I put this in the ExecTBL.ini so when you click on the play list it will shut off
    "ONPLCLICK","FLIPFLOPOFF"

    Anyway I thought some would like to play with it

    Wow, to me that's pretty ingenious and nifty "tweak".

    Haven't done a lot of skin editting, but I just paste the above to the ExecTBL.ini file (like you said), and then on whatever skin page I want I add a button called FLIPFLOP, that about right? In the actual .skin file you only have the button defined and the labels, right?

                That is a very cool idea! I have always had to change the mode to listen to one artist, thanks!

                  UPDATE

                  Changed some stuff around so it works better – less power

                  Now when you push the Flip Flop button it saves so when you restart RR it will stay on or off.

                    Chuck (or anyone),

                    First of all, please forgive my very limited knowledge of RR and programming in general. I am trying to make RR reload the current winamp playlist after every song (the plugin I'm using deletes songs as it finishes) so that the displayed title and album cover will match what's playing. The lines in your code above seem to be doing something like that:

                    "PLABC","RELOADLIST||ACTIVATE;Playlist Editor||SENDKEY;^+1||RELOADLIST"
                    "PLRANDOM","RELOADLIST||ACTIVATE;Playlist Editor||SENDKEY;^+r||RELOADLIST"

                    Does the RELOADLIST command load the current winamp playlist, or the one that is stored on the HDD? Any help/advice is appreciated.

                    - Dan

                      Try this and let me know

                      add this to the ExecTBL.ini file
                      "ONSONGSTART","RELOADLIST"

                          I added that to the end of the ExecTBL.ini file, but it is still behaving the same way. I am using the plugin - Playlist File Remover v2.1 - all that I'm trying to accomplish with that plugin is for winamp to quit repeating songs over and over again, which it seems to do with just random checked. Thanks,
